This two day course combines  successful and comprehensive two-day Section 12 induction course with our Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards training. The course has been designed in collaboration with the East Midlands and Yorkshire Section 12 Approval Panel and is accredited for practitioners requiring approval for the first time under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act. It also fulfils requirements for approval as a DoLS Mental Health Assessor.

 

The course is aimed at training grade psychiatrists who require first-time approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act, or psychiatrists of any level who require a detailed update. 

 

Funding has been secured from the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery for 20 free places for CT2/3 and above psychiatry trainees on the Yorkshire and Humber speciality training rotation.
