Due to large oversubscription the National Mental Health Development Unit (NMHDU) in partnership with National CAMHS Support Service is running an addittional  series of 2-day trainings aimed at key members of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. Please see the  programme for more details

Who should attend?

Key members of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services from across the region who are in a position to deliver the training to the rest of their colleagues from CAMHS.

The course is for both community and inpatient practitioners and will enable trainers to understand all the 2007 amendments to the 1983 Health Act, not just the amendments, which relate only to under 18s.

By participating in this training you must agree to disseminate the information in your local CAMHS community and inpatient teams. You will be provided with a training pack on completion of the course.

Objectives

To summarise all the changes introduced by the 2007 amendments to the 1983 MHA – not just those that apply to under 18s in particular.

  • To introduce NIMHE training materials developed
  • To provide clarity regarding the process of cascade training.

Places can be booked online at the NMHDU National Events page.

Please make sure that you complete all requested fields including any special dietary, access or other requirements. Places may be restricted to a maximum of two delegates from the same organisation. Applications may be closed early if response is over-extensive.
