The Men’s Health Forum and Mind have been commissioned by the National Mental Health Development Unit to write a guide to effective working on male mental health. The new guide follows the publication early in 2010 of Untold Problems:a review of the essential issues in the mental health of men and boys. The aim of the new guide will be to provide practical help to anyone working with men and boys. It will be disseminated widely on professional networks. 

The new guide will draw on extensive consultation with:

 

• Service users and carers
• Mental health practitioners and other health professionals
• Academics working in the mental health field
• Specialist voluntary sector organisations

The conference will be of interest to anyone with a professional or personal interest in the mental health of men and boys, especially people in the four categories above.
